Phuket has changed in many ways since the Covid19 worldwide outbreak. Most notably is the lack of people on the island as international travel is suspended until the world is better positioned to contain the virus.
Thailand has recorded some of the lowest Covid19 cases globally, but this does not help the current situation for the tourism sector in places like Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Phi Phi Islands and many more.
With the Covid19 vaccine; hopefully, it will not be long before Phuket can welcome international tourists back to this fantastic island.
Here are some pictures that were taken around Patong beach today. Due to the reduction in boats/jet skis in Patong beach the water has become turquoise and crystal-clear like the Similan Islands. Let us hope the people in charge restrict boat traffic when everything goes back to the new normal and keep the beautiful turquoise waters.
When looking at this picture of Patong Bay – Phuket scuba diving will be stunning with amazing clear waters like this.
When people ask – What to do in Phuket? One of the popular recommendations is to take a walk up Banglar Road – Normally this is a hive of activity day and night. But currently, it looks like a ghost town in the movies.
